WATER WELL MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION

Once the cause of deteriorating well performance is known, one or more maintenance and rehabilitation techniques may be effective in restoring specific capacity and discharge rates or protecting the well from further deterioration.

Therefore, Alnafora Co. with their long experience is ready to maintenance and rehabilitation of such wells, in order to recover them to original performance whenever possible. The following techniques shall be used with their own services rigs:

 

1. Investigate the structural integration of the Well.

The investigation of the structural interior of the well will be done using, drill pipe and disk print, selected geophysical log (caliper, CCl, Vidio Camera).

 

2. Redevelopment and cleaning the well.

Redevelopment can often be accomplished by reapplying the development techniques described on item A5 above. Also, acid, or dispersing agent can be used.

 

3. Cleaning the well by mechanical technique.

Against the blocking screen a mechanical technique will be applied using wire brushing and jetting operations.

 

4. Installing new casing, screen Liner

The structural repairs can be done by setting linear, complet relining or screen replacement.

 

5. Repair or Replace Water Submersible Pumps in old Wells

After checking the existing pump, repairing procedures will take place, or if the is out off, then a new Submersible Pumps will be installed in the well according to the well pumping test.

 

6. Deepening of Existing Water Wells

In open hole well condition, hydrogeological found that the tapped zone within the aquifer is not enough to recover the well performance, then deepening is a must for more meters to be drilled is required. 

 

7. Sealing or Abandoned Wells

After non successful of any maintenance and / or rehabilitation operations are applied to recover the performance, then sealing or abandoned operation should be done in order to protect the aquifer from contamination.
